After a nine month stay at the school I would reccomend it to anyone who wants to come, and is willing to work hard. The training here is amazing. It is very difficult at times, but equally rewarding. The masters here have insane skill. The school is very specific with who they hire to teach, all the masters are extremely talented and authentic. I will never undestand how my master could be so paitent and encouraging with me. Especially in the beginning when I struggled a lot with my training. 

The community of students at the school is really amazing. In all my life I have never experienced anything quite like it. The students really are like a family. Here at the school everyone bonds over a shared love of Kung Fu. Regardless of your background, age, or level of experience everyone is equal. Everyone eats together, livest together, and trains together, so you become very close. Everyone at the school pushes eachother to do their best. There is no way that I could have trained as hard as I did, and have enjoyed it so much with out the help and support of my fellow students. It is here that I made friends I belive will last me a lifetime. These people I consider to be my brothers and sisters. One of my favorite things at the school, besides the training and the community was the food.. I had never liked Chinese food, but the school food is something I will miss almost as much as the training and people. Some students complain of repetitive dishes, but I have always loved it. The school does what it can to accomodate peoples dietary restrictions and tastes, but it is difficult to cook for so many people of different backgrounds especially since students are always coming and going from the school.

The school staff are awesome. If you have a problem or a question they go out of their way to help you fix it. I can not thank all the people who work here enough. The amazing translators, breathtaking masters, and the schools coordinator Joy, all work to give the school something special, and try to let everyone have a good experience.

The only negative experiences I have had at the school are things that the school can not control. Nearby to the school medical care is not easily accesible. The nearest hospital is thirty minutes away by car, so if you have a medical condition, or an injury you need to take proper precaution. Another issue that was not always a problem, but as more students arrived it became one was that there is limited space in the womens bathroom area. As more girls came to the school it became very crowded. For women there are only two toilets, two showers, and one sink. This became problematic whenre there were twelve girls. This problem seems to be somewhat unexpected though because normally there are not so many girls in the school. As this became more prblematic the school worked to solve it by allowing girls to use all the facilities on the first floor (which is the girls wing of the accomodation building) including the mens bathroom or shower when the girls is full. The last issue I experienced was with the extra classes. Becaause of the frequent turnaround of students at the school it is difficult to keep consistent classes of Mandarin and Acupuncture. With so many new students always, it is difficult for them to make a lesson plan. The language class is more independant learning than a traditional language course. But again with this the staff try their best to give the students what they want.

I arrive in the school Febuary 4th 2016 and orignally intended to stay for three month, but I extended my stay until the begining of  November, with a total stay of nine month. The winters here are from December to Febuary and are very cold as this is North China. At the school, the rooms, the training hall, and the dining hall are with heating. It is still very cold in the school, so if you come in the winter months bring many layers of clothes especially coats, gloves, hat, and socks. The summers here are very hot as well. The tempurature is around fourty degrees celcius from June to early September. 

Coming to the school I did no physical preparation. I had no stamina, strength, or coordination. In my time here all of these things have greatly improved. I had many troubles breathing with my Asthma. These were problems that I never had experienced back home. My lungs are very sensitive to the pollution, but it was just another challenge to overcome, and I am stronger for it. Coming here has pushed me physically and mentally to places I never thought possible.

Over all I have nothing negative to say for the school because the problems have been so small, and in no way have they taken something away from the experience. Traveling anywhere in China will make you appreciate the accomidation at the school. The living here is simple, but is is just what you need to train. There is nothing similar to this experience. I reccomend it to anyone who has interest in this.
